I see a lot of people who have a “bad” image of their selves and want to change this to a “better” one. I see that a lot too. So, I want to make it easier for those who are looking to change.
A few years ago I started a blog about how to stop negative self-talk so I thought I’d give it a try. I found so many self-sabotaging ideas that I decided it was time to put it in writing. So, here’s a picture of my energy for you to read and use.
I’d like to put some of that work into a photo that is useful to you too. This picture is really small but has me at the top. Because I’m a big guy and I’m always in a hurry.
Don’t be too hard on yourself if you feel like you need to change. If you can recognize that you are being negative, then you can stop it before it becomes a habit. I have found that the hardest part is the part where you really don’t know what you’re doing. That is the part that often seems to be the most depressing. I always had a really hard time finding the motivation to do anything. So I just knew I needed to change.
I don’t know if I really want to change, but if I don’t do that, then I’m afraid it may be too difficult. So what? If I’m going to change, I want to start with something really new.
This is where the word “choreography” comes in. You might not be able to change yourself, but you can change the way in which you appear to others. For example, when an athlete starts to look over his shoulder, his teammates will notice and think, “This guy is really uncomfortable.” But if they see him jogging alone, they’ll assume he has a great workout.
You know that there is a little bit of a dance between a dancer and his partner, the partner who is trying to kick the ball and the dancer who is trying to throw it at him. But if the dancer throws at him and then tries to knock him down, the partner who is trying to kick the ball will say, I am not sure what he is doing, but if he strikes him with his elbow and then tries to kick the ball at him, he will get a kick.
This is called the interplay between the human and the machine. A lot of things happen in your life when you’re not aware of it. It’s why you can get in so many fights with your partner and still not realize it. The most common example is when you’re walking down the street and you turn around to look in the mirror and see you have a big red scratch on your head.
The hardest thing to do in online gaming is to shoot yourself in the foot. Most players have one shot at hitting the ground. However, if you get in a fight and you get caught, you may need to take more than one shot, and do it again.
Here’s why you can take a hard one: Your brain is most effective when it is active. If you aren’t actively thinking about what you are doing, you’ll probably find yourself getting beat in the head quite easily. It’s just as easy to just walk into a fight and miss as it is to hit yourself in the head.
