I recently learned how to use a function called CONCATENATE in Excel to consolidate two different dates into one. You can even use CONCATENATE to combine two different datetime values with the same format. To accomplish this, you have to create two new sheets with the same sheet name as the first sheet. The sheet that you want to merge is named “merged” and the sheet you want to keep is named “removed.
Excel’s CONCATENATE function is a little tricky. It has a built-in comparison, and it makes it so you can only compare two cells. But if you combine two dates, it makes it so you can’t compare two cells that have the same format. Even if you know the format of the cells, CONCATENATE is still a little tricky for it to work. We wanted to make sure that the concatenation of two dates was as intuitive as possible.
The CONCATENATE function is designed to work with only one cell.
That’s because Excel treats dates as values. When you concatenate two dates, you add both values on a single cell, and the value is the result. The problem with that is that any value entered into a cell will be converted to a date, which is not what you want. The CONCATENATE function was designed to work with two cells, so if you want to convert your values from one format to the other, you can do that.
If you’re making your own Excel workbook, I suggest you use the CONCATENATE function because it’s the most intuitive way to do it. It’s a great function to use when you want to add two cells together. When you’re in a hurry and just want to add two values to a third cell, you can use the CONCATENATE function instead.
This video explains the function. It’s not only a great tool to help you add two values to a third cell, but I think it’s also a nice example of how Excel is meant to work.
Concatenate is a really cool utility that lets you add two cells together and add a third value and then concatenate the two values. You will learn about several other useful functions, such as DIV, PIVOT, and COUNTIFS, as well as some other useful functions in the video.
I know you’re used to formulas in excel but this video makes you understand them in a really simple way. In the video, I explain each formula in detail, how it works, and some examples to show you how it works.
This video makes so much sense, it could make your brain explode. I think I may have just done that. I’ve learned so much in just a couple of days from watching this video, it’s hard to believe I’m still a baby. I feel like I’ve learned a lot since my first year of university, and that’s probably because I spent a good chunk of that time in a university computer lab.
