I’m sure we all know what google drive is. It’s a file sharing and collaboration platform that makes it easy for you and your team to collaborate on projects and share your files with others. However, the ability to edit these files remotely to make changes if necessary is pretty cool, and it’s great for those times when you need to edit documents or add a few notes about a project.
However, the text box that allows you to edit these files remotely can be pretty awkward to use. So if you find yourself doing that all the time, it’s probably time to give it a try, at least on the web.
Not a problem, and I’m sure its all well worth it. You can send files to anyone else on your team, and you can even send your files to anyone else on the web. The only problem is that you can’t just open your files in Google Docs. Google Docs doesn’t have a text box for editing files, but there is a text box for uploading files.
Google Drive has a text box that lets you upload files from the web. This is a pretty nice feature, but only if you have an account on Google Drive. If that’s not you, then you need to open the file you want to edit in the web browser, and then you can use the text box on your Google Drive page to edit the file. You will still need to open the file in Google Docs, but your edits will appear in Google Drive.
I use google drive because it allows for editing of my own files, and because I can upload them to other people’s Google Drive accounts. What I want is to be able to edit my own files as well. Is this possible? Does it work? I don’t know.
If you open your Google Drive page, you can edit the “file” you have selected. It will then show you the new URL, where you can then click on the link. Click the link to be taken to the home page.
If you don’t like the new link you can click anywhere on the page until you find the one you want.
I’m a big fan of Google Drive, but it seems like you can’t edit your own files there. I tried editing a file in Google Drive, and although I could select the text box, it didn’t change the URL. I can only assume that if you’re using Google’s web service, it’s only possible to edit your own files.
I wonder if the problem is that Drive is not yet ready for the public to use, or if the real issue is that your textbox is not yet ready. Personally, I love going to my computer and modifying the text box by clicking on the link, but for now I’m using the new text box on my phone.
It does work, and if you have a file with the URL youre looking for you can type it into the box and it will change the URL automatically. It may be worth trying it out, I dont know.
