We make decisions based on what has worked in the past, what has worked for the organization’s past, what is good for the organization’s future (or the organization’s past), and what is good for the organization’s past.

To make decisions, you need to have self-awareness. You need to know what you are doing. You need to know why you are doing it. You need to be able to describe how your decision is going to affect you. You need to know why your decision is good for others. If you did not have self-awareness, you would be saying, “I don’t know why I am in this position.
