It seems to me that this change has made it harder for people to post on stories that are related to their personal lives.
I know a lot of people may not think this is a big deal, but I am still seeing people post on their stories IRL (it’s hard to understand why this is happening since they’re not showing up in the feed). Instagram is a platform that should allow people to share what makes them happy, but it seems to be making it harder for people to post their personal stories on their stories.
I don’t think Instagram is the problem, but I do think that people are getting too comfortable posting photos on their stories that are not related to them (unless you count the ones that are related to you) since theyre not showing up in the feed. Instagram has a very large user base, and a lot of the people who use it as their primary social media platform use it that way.
So I’m seeing that people are posting photos of their pets. But what’s really frustrating is when I see someone’s dog, I can tell from the look on their face that they’re just looking at the dog. Their eyes are wide, they’re not looking into the camera. They’re not looking at the dog.
It is possible to post photos on Instagram that you would not be able to see if you were on your computer. If you have this kind of connection, you can post a photo that is not visible to anyone in your network. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to be a thing that Instagram will let you do.
